BYU–Hawaii Freshman Admissions Criteria

  1. K-12: HS graduation + one-year university GPA of 2.75 (83%) or lower (Philippines grading system).
    K-10: HS Graduation + two years university GPA of 2.75 (83%) or lower (Philippines grading system).
  2. Meet the English test requirement.
  3. Ecclesiastical endorsement.
  4. Missionary and community service, work experience, and age may also be used as determining factors in admission.

Please be aware that updated transcripts from all previously attended colleges must be sent along with your application. Not listing all institutions both U.S. and international you have attended/are attending can result in a loss of credit and dismissal. It is your responsibility to make sure an official transcript from each institution, including Church Institute, is submitted before the application deadline.

BYU–Hawaii BYU-Pathway Partnership Program

BYU–Hawaii and BYU-Pathway Worldwide announced a new partnership that will expand educational options for international students. Here are the eligibility requirements:

  1. Complete BYU-Pathway’s foundational PathwayConnect curriculum with a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher and/or complete BYU-Pathway Worldwide certificate and/or associate degree.
  2. Meet the English test requirement.

The completion of a BYU-Pathway Worldwide program will waive BYU–Hawaii’s high school diploma/secondary education requirements.
