BYU—Hawaii Freshman Admissions Criteria

Sri Lankan GCE Advanced Level*

  1. The aggregate total of 135 points or more on the three subjects and not less than 30% on the Common General Paper.
  2. Meet the English test requirement.
  3. Ecclesiastical endorsement.
  4. Missionary and community service, work experience, and age may also be used as determining factors in admission.

Admission for students from Sri Lanka is very limited. Please contact Admissions before formally applying to BYU–Hawaii.

BYU–Hawaii BYU-Pathway Partnership Program

BYU–Hawaii and BYU-Pathway Worldwide announced a new partnership that will expand educational options for international students. Here are the eligibility requirements:

  1. Complete BYU-Pathway’s foundational PathwayConnect curriculum with a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher and/or complete BYU-Pathway Worldwide certificate and/or associate degree.
  2. Meet the English test requirement.

The completion of a BYU-Pathway Worldwide program will waive BYU–Hawaii’s high school diploma/secondary education requirements.
