BYU–Hawaii New Freshman Admissions Criteria

  • Secondary School Certificate and an ATAR score of 65+ or Overall Position (OP) of 15+ in Queensland.

The Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) is the primary criterion for entry into most undergraduate-entry university programs in Australia. It was gradually introduced in 2009 and 2010 to replace the Universities Admission Index, Equivalent National Tertiary Entrance Rank, and Tertiary Entrance Rank. However, it is not used in Queensland which retains its Overall Position (OP) system.

ATAR: Australian Tertiary Admission Rank Top score 99.95
Used by all states except QLD still uses QTAC selection rank and OP.

  • Meet other admissions criteria such as a clear ecclesiastical endorsement, minimum family financial contribution, etc.
  • Missionary and community service, work experience, and age may also be used as determining factors in admission.
