Domestic applicants are defined as applicants who have permanent residency in the United States. Their applications will be evaluated according to the academic standards of the U.S.
Domestic applicants who have completed their high school education outside the U.S. should notify the Admissions division of BYU–Hawaii's Hoʻokele Department when they submit their applications. There may be some adjustments to their applications according to their educational backgrounds.

International applicants are defined as applicants who will require a VISA in order to enter the United States to pursue their education. Countries in which most of these applicants finish their secondary education adapt a different education system from the US education system.
All transcripts must be received two weeks before the deadline for the semester you are applying. All documents received within the two weeks before the deadline will be considered late and may not be processed before the deadline, resulting in an incomplete application. If you are sending your transcripts through the mail, please send them far enough in advance as to arrive two weeks before the deadline.
