BYU—Hawaii Freshman Admissions Criteria

  1. 12-year high school diploma and upper secondary school exam.
  2. GPA 3.5, 7.5, 15, 75, or higher depending on the grading system used.
  3. Meet the English test requirement.
  4. Ecclesiastical endorsement.
  5. Missionary and community service, work experience, and age may also be used as determining factors in admission.

BYU—Hawaii BYU-Pathway Partnership Program

BYU–Hawaii and BYU-Pathway Worldwide announced a new partnership that will expand educational options for international students. Here are the eligibility requirements:

  1. Complete BYU-Pathway’s foundational PathwayConnect curriculum with a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher and/or complete BYU-Pathway Worldwide certificate and/or associate degree.
  2. An English Proficiency Test is required

The completion of a BYU-Pathway Worldwide program will waive BYU–Hawaii’s high school diploma/secondary education requirements.

Transfer Admission Criteria

Applicants should have 24, or more, semester hours of college credit from an accredited institution with a 7.5 grade point average. Transfer credit hours may also be earned through distance education over the Internet.
